Long Beach Poly's Bryshon Nellum, who won four
gold medals at this year's CIF-State Championships to lead
the Jackrabbits to the team title, has been named the 2006-2007
Gatorade National Track & Field Performer of the Year.
Nellum is the 7th Californian to win the distinction in the
22-year history of the award. The national all-sports
winner will be named by Gatorade in July.
